A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF PARTS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY
FOR THE REPAIR OF A TD 15-B BULLDOZER;
WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , a TD 15-B Bulldozer owned by the City and used
by the Street Department is now inoperable and in need of
certain repairs ; and
WHEREAS, inasmuch as Little Rock Road and Machinery Company
is the only known supplier of parts for said bulldozer and it
is urgent that this machine be placed back into operation as
soon as possible; and
WHEREAS , it has been estimated that parts and equipment
needed for said repairs will not exceed the cost of $3 ,066 . 51.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. A contract for the purchase of parts and
equipment necessary for the repair of one TD 15-B Bulldozer
being used by the Street Department is hereby awarded to
Little Rock Road & Machinery Company. Cost for said parts
and equipment will not exceed the sum of $3 , 066 . 51. Labor
will be performed by Street Department personnel .
SECTION 2 . The repair of said tractor is determined by
the Board of Directors to be an exceptional situation justi-
fying the waiving of competitive bidding for these parts and
equipment and said competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon delivery of the said parts and equipment
complying in all respects with bidding requirements , the City
Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed
to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said
contract price.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
