RESOLUTION NO 5,188
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH LITTLE ROCK
RECREATION CENTER; REALLOCATING AND RE-
PROGRAMING MODEL CITIES FUNDS; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , invitations for bids were advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto for the construction of the South
Little Rock Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS , the lowest responsible and responsive bid for
said construction has been determined and the Board of Directors
is desirous of awarding a contract to said bidder.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to N. P. Alessi
Construction Company , 3312 West 24th, Little Rock , Arkansas
for the construction of the South Little Rock Recreation Center
at a contract price of $231 , 000 . 00 plus $31, 170 . 00 for Archi-
tect ' s fee and contingency fund.
SECTION 2 . $160 ,000 . 00 has been previously allocated for
this project and the following amounts are hereby reallocated
and reprogrammed within the Model Cities Budget to provide the
balance necessary for this project :
a) The sum of $22 , 000 . 00 is hereby reallocated and
reprogrammed from Pettaway Park fund.
b) The sum of $80 ,170 . 00 is hereby reallocated and
reprogrammed from the East Little Rock Community Complex
Swimming Pool enclosure fund.
Total reallocation is $102 ,170 . 00 , which sum is hereby reallocated
and reprogrammed to the South Little Rock Recreation Fund.
SECTION 3 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized to issue warrants from time to time as requi-
sitions for payment for said work are presented. Said work shall
comply in all respects with bid plans and specifications on file

in the office of the Purchasing Agent of the City of Little
Rock.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
