A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIRE PROTECTION
AGREEMENT WITH LEVI STRAUSS COMPANY FOR
SERVICES OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager, acting for and on behalf
of the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized to enter into
a Fire Protection Agreement with Levi Strauss Company for
fire protection outside the corporate limits in keeping with
the provisions of Section 13-13 of the Code of Ordinances ,
provided, however, said agreement shall further be restricted
in the following particulars :
a) If the territory recently approved for annexation to
the City of Little Rock on May 3 , 1973 , now on appeal to the
Supreme Court of Arkansas , is reversed by this Court, then
this fire protection agreement shall terminate automatically.
b) At such time as the 145th Street Industrial Park
area becomes contiguous to the corporate limits of the City
of Little Rock, said territory must voluntarily become annexed
to the City of Little Rock otherwise this fire protection
agreement shall terminate automatically.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
