5141 RESOLUTION NO. 5 ,141
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO INITIATE LEGAL ACTION IN
THE COURTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING
THE APPLICABLE LAW PERTAINING TO ELECTION
OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed expeditiously as feasible to initiate
legal action in the Court of proper jurisdiction in the name
of the City of Little Rock designed to obtain a Declaratory
Judgment on a law pertaining to elections to fill positions
of members of Boards of Directors of City Management forms
of government, and in particular, obtaining a construction of
the provisions of Act 186 , Acts of Arkansas, 1973 .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
