A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
REPAIR OF A BULLDOZER AT THE LITTLE ROCK
LANDFILL; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING;
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, a TD-25C Bulldozer, serial number 777 , owned
by the City and used at the Little Rock Landfill is now in-
operable and in need of a general overhaul; and
WHEREAS , inasmuch as Little Rock Road & Machinery Company
is the only known supplier of parts for said bulldozer and it
is urgent that this machine be put back into operation as soon
as possible; and
WHEREAS , it has been estimated that repair costs will not
exceed the sum of $11 ,231. 36 .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . A contract for general overhaul of a TD-25C
Bulldozer, Serial number 777 owned by the City of Little Rock
is hereby awarded to Little Rock Road & Machinery Company.
Said contract price includes parts and labor and shall not
exceed the sum of $11 ,231. 36 .
SECTION 2 . The repair of said tractor is determined by
the Board of Directors to be an exceptional situation justifying
the waiving of competitive bidding for this said overhaul and
said competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the repair work to the
satisfaction of the Director of Community Development, the
City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and
directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment
thereof not to exceed the sum of $11, 231. 36 .
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
