September 10, 1973
Explanation: A temporary, full-time physician was employed
by contract for three months because St. Vincent
could not find a permanent, full-time physician.
A permanent, full-time physician is now avail-
able for employment. St. Vincent cannot break
the contract for the temporary physician and
the other physician will not wait until December
1 , 1973, for employment with the Clinic. We
must take advantage of this opportunity now or
fact the possibility of not having a physician
in December. Cost - $6,000.
The Clinic is also in need of a part-time ob-
stetrician-gynecologist. This physician would
treat female organ diseases and provide prenatal
care for expectant mothers. Cost - $3,000 --
(may get reimbursement from the State through
Family Planning) .
