A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COOPERATION OF
MARINA OPERATORS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK IN THE ELIMINATION OF DISTURBING AND
UNNECESSARY NOISES BY BOATS USING THE
ARKANSAS RIVER; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO SEEK THE COOPERATION OF OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT
AGENCIES OF THE COUNTY IN ELIMINATING SUCH NOISES
AND TO TAKE WHATEVER LEGAL ACTION IS AVAILABLE
AND NEEDED TO ELIMINATE SUCH NOISE; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , it is found and determined that some person or
persons utilizing the Arkansas River for boating purposes are
creating loud, disturbing and unnecessary noises to the
residents of the City of Little Rock and tuat such must be
abated.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Marina owners and operators along the Ark-
ansas River are hereby requested to assist the City of Little
Rock in eliminating unnecnssary loud and disturbing noises from
boats on the Arkansas River. Further, the City Attorney is
hereby directed to seek the cooperation of other law enforce-
ment agencies with authority and responsibility and to take
such action as is legally proper to abate and eliminate any
such loud disturbing and unnecessary noise .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
