RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
COOPERATION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS AND THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, FOR THE PROVISION BY THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS OF $185 ,000 CASH OR
NONCASH GRANT-IN-AID FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, ARK A-9, 1973-74 PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, hereinafter called "Authority;" has under date of
March 15, 1973 submitted its application to the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for financial assistance under
Title 1 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, to carry out
the Fourth Action Year (1973-74) of the Neighborhood Development
Program, ARK A-9 ; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet the local share of cost for the
activities included in the application it is necessary for the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereinafter called "City," to
contribute $185,000 in cash, or provide eligible site improvement
noncash Grants-in-Aid at a cost of $185 ,000, to supplement the
noncash Grants-in-Aid in the application; and
WHEREAS, HUD approval of the Application is conditioned on
the execution of this Cooperation Agreement; and
WHEREAS, in view of the above, the Authority and the City
are desirous of executing the cooperation agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and to take such further action
as may be necessary to effectuate said Agreement.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately.
