A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
CONTRACT FOR ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
TEMPORARY SUMMER EMPLOYEES ; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS , it is anticipated that the City will employ
approximately 85 temporary summer employees in the Parks
Department and approximately 315 Summer Youth Program employees ;
and,
WHEREAS , the City needs to provide on the job accident
insurance for these temporary employees cause they cannot be
covered by the City ' s hospitalization policy.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate and contract for accident insurance coverage that
will provide benefits in the case of on the job accidents
resulting in accidental death, loss of hand, foot or eye
or other disability for approximately 85 summer employees
temporarily employed in the Parks Department and approximately
315 Summer Youth Program employees .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
