4968 RESOLUTION NO 4,968
A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE METROCENTRE
PROJECT
WHEREAS , General plans for the Metrocentre project in
Little Rock have been outlined to the Board; and
WHEREAS , the Board has reason to believe that the concept
proposed will be in the best interests of the City of Little
Rock and will enhance and encourage orderly growth in the
downtown area; and
WHEREAS , the Board is influenced that the Metrocentre
project would retard urban decay and ensure the continued
vitality of the central business district of Little Rock;
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The concept of Metrocentre and its approach
to urban planning and design be and they are hereby endorsed
and the Metrocentre Committee is encouraged to proceed with
detailed plans for the implementation of this project , sub-
ject to approval of the Board of Directors .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
