A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE STATE CRIME COM-
MISSION FOR FUNDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
POLICE RECORDS SYSTEM AND TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE
THE GRANT AWARD.
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has previously made application
to the State Crime Commission for LEAA funds to develop and implement
an automated records systems for the Little Rock Police Department, and
WHEREAS, the preliminary design of the records system has been
completed by Pharos Systems, Inc . , and
WHEREAS, the completed design tasks require additional LEAA funds
to purchase computer equipment not included in the original LEAA
application.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to prepare and
submit an application to the State Crime Commission for $439, 200 of
LEAA funds to develop and implement an automated records system in
the Little Rock Police Department .
SECTION 2 . In order to continue the development work of the
Police records system in an orderly and expeditious manner the City
Manager is authorized and directed to accept and execute the grant
award of LEAA funds .
SECTION 3 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
