4846 RESOLUTION NO. 4,846
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to Show Sound,
Inc. of New York City, New York , for a complete sound system
for the Convention Center in the Robinson Auditorium in the
City of Little Rock , Arkansas . Said system shall include all
equipment, materials , supervision of installation and training
of City personnel in the operation and maintenance of said
sound system. Said sound system shall comply in all respects
with plans and specifications prepared by Wittenberg, Delony
and Davidson, Architects , Little Rock, Arkansas and on file
in the office of the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion
Commission.
SECTION 2 . The Board of Directors has determined and
therefore finds that the unique features of the Sound System
as provided for by plans and specifications together with the
need for the installation of such by the time the Auditorium
renovation now under way is complete creates an exceptional
situation justifying the waiving of competitive bidding and
that such competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3 . Funds for this project are under the control
and jurisdiction of the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion
Commission and cost for said project shall not exceed the sum
of $26 , 700 . 00 , exclusive of all freight charges .
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and 4
effect from and after its adoption.
