4835 1r RESOLUTION NO. 4,835 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF DISABILITY BENEFITS FOR NONUNIFORM EMPLOYEES; REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 4823 ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. Nonuniform employees of the City of Little Rock, injured in the line of duty, shall, during the time of recuperation but not beyond the determination of disability requiring retirement, be paid his or her full salary provided for at the time of injury together with all medical costs; provided, however, that accrued vacation and sick leave benefits of any such employee shall be used in support of and as an offset against this policy commitment set forth in this Section. SECTION 2 . A nonuniform employee of the City who- is determined by the City Health Officer to be disabled or who makes application for disability retirement under that City' s insurance plan provided for by Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances shall be entitled to payment receive =maximum of sixty (60%) percent of his regular full time calendar salary for a maximum period of ninety (90) /days . The payment shall be sixty (60%) percent of that salary prevailing at the time of the disability or of the application for insurance benefits. Such payments shall be in addition to all accrued vacation and sick leave. No such payment shall be made after a finding of nondisability is made by the insurance company or after the disability benefits from the insurance company begin, nor shall any accumulation of sick leave, vacation pay and the payment of this benefit extend payments to the employee beyond calendar one hundred and eighty (180)/ days from the date of disability or appli- cation for insurance. SECTION 3. Resolution No. 4 ,823 adopted June 20 , 1972 is hereby repealed in its entirety. 11110 . -2- SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
