RESOLUTION NO. 4,823
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF DISABILITY
BENEFITS FOR NONUNIFORM EMPLOYEES; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Nonuniform employees of the City of Little
Rock injured in the line of duty shall , during the time of
recuperation but not beyond the determination of disability
requiring retirement, be paid his or her full salary provided
for at the time of injury together with all medical costs;
provided, however, that accrued vacation and sick leave benefits
of any such employee shall be used in support of and as an
offset against this policy commitment set forth in this Section.
SECTION 2 . Nonuniform employees disabled according to
determination of the City Health Officer or applying for dis-
ability retirement under the City ' s insured plan provided for
by Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances shall be paid Sixty
(60%) percent of his regular full time salary prevailing at the
time of disability for a period of ninety (90) calendar days,
or until a finding of nondisability is made by the insurance
company, or until disability benefit payments from the insurance
company begin, whichever comes first. Provided, further,
accrued vacation and sick leave of such disabled nonuniform
employee shall be used in support of and as an offset against
this policy commitment set forth in this Section 2 .
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
