A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
FILE APPLICATION WITH THE HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT FOR FUNDS FOR COMPREHENSIVE
PLANNING ASSISTANCE AS AUTHORIZED BY SECTION
701 OF THE FEDERAL HOUSING ACT OF 1954, AS
AMENDED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to prepare and file application with the United States Department
of Housing and Urban Development for $40, 000 .00 in grant funds for
comprehensive planning assistance as authorized by Section 701 of
the Federal Housing Act of 1954, as amended . The local in kind share of
this grant contract in the amount of $_35 ,026 . 00 is
available and on hand to be used together with the grant funds for
the purposes herein stated.
Grant funds herein provided for shall be used in planning
efforts pertaining to Little Rock Police Department responsibilities and
designed to provide information and knowledge enabling the City to
more advantageously utilize computer technology within the Police
Department; and for other purposes .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
