A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO MAYOR GEORGE E. WIMBERLY
WHEREAS, George E. Wimberly during the year 1971 has served this Board
of Directors and all the citizens of this community (not just his ward) as
Mayor with the dignity, poise, charm and charisma of a polished politician;
and
WHEREAS, his effectiveness in the maintenance of proper decorum in
official meetings is exemplified especially in the co-operative reactions
of Directors Boyd and Baldwin indicating unanimous commitment to his phi-
losophies; and
WHEREAS, this Board would have this Resolution reflect for the record
that 1971, under the chairmanship of Mayor George E. Wimberly, is one that
would have been well remembered for a variety of reasons, however, we can-
not recall what they are.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. We are grateful to you, George E. Wimberly, for serving us
well as Mayor throughout the year 1971.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
