A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE
ROWAND COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
LaHARPE BOULEVARD CONNECTION TO MARKHAM
STREET; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the construction of a connection
from LaHarpe Boulevard to Markham Street in the City of Little Rock;
and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
the construction of said connection.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on a
contract for the construction of a connection from LaHlrpe Boulevard
to Markham Street is hereby accepted and a contract awarded to The
Rowand Company in the amount of $75, 768. 70, which sum is to be paid
from the parking facilities construction fund of the City of Little
Rock.
SECTION 2 . Upon completion of the aforementioned connection
complying in all respects with the bidding specifications and bid
proposal, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants
in payment of said construction cost.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
