A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE REPAIR OF BULLDOZER; WAIVING COM-
PETITIVE BIDDING; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, a TD-20B-1HC Tractor, Serial No. 22196, owned by the
City of Little Rock is now inoperable and in need of repair; and
WHEREAS, Little Rock Road & Machinery Company is the only
known supplier of parts for said bulldozer; and
WHEREAS, inasmuch as Little Rock Road & Machinery Company is
the only source of supplies, the waiving of competitive bidding in
this instance is justified; and
WHEREAS, it has been estimated that repair costs will not exceed
the sum of $3, 029.07 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract for the repair of a TF-20B-1HC Tractor,
owned by the City of Little Rock is hereby awarded to Little Rock
Road &Machinery Company. Said contract includes parts and labor and
shall not exceed the sum of $3, 029.07 .
SECTION 2 . The repair of said tractor is by the Board of
Directors determined to be an exceptional situation justifying and
demanding the waiving of competitive bidding for this repair and said
competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the repair work to the satisfaction
of the Director of Community Development, the City Manager and
Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the
necessary warrant or warrants, not to exceed the sum of $3, 029.07 .
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
