A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO JOHN
F. TROTTER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTAL-
LATION OF A LANDING FACILITY FOR EXCURSION
BOATS ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. John F. Trotter is hereby granted a franchise
subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter stated for the in-
stallation and construction of landing and related facilities for
an excursion boat in and on the following described property located
within the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows , to-wit:
A tract of land situated in the County of Pulaski ,
State of Arkansas , being part of the SW4 of the
fractional SE4 of fractional Section 24 , Township
2 North , Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meri-
dian, and more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the north right-of-way line
for the access road to Murray Lock and Dam, said
point being approximately 950 feet east and 750 feet
north of the Southwest corner of said fractional SE4
thence northwesterly along said north right-of-way
line 150 feet to a point; thence north 110 feet to
a point on the ordinary high water line, right bank
of the Arkansas River; thence downstream in the south-
easterly direction along the meanders of said ordinary
high water line 150 feet to a point; thence south 120
feet to the point of beginning, and containing 0 . 4
acres , more or less .
The term of the said franchise shall be for a period of
one year with the right of John F. Trotter to renew said franchise
for a one year period at the expiration of the said one year period.
SECTION 2 . All improvements made pursuant to this fran-
chise on the described property and all maintenance thereof shall
be made at the sole expense of John F. Trotter and shall be made
in accordance with requirements of the Department of Community
Development, City of Little Rock, and shall include a surfaced park-
ing area on said property in accordance with said requirements . No
trees shall be removed from the said property without prior approval
of the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .

SECTION 3 . This franchise is granted solely for the
operation of a landing facility for excursion or chartered boats
and for no other purpose. It is granted subject to a certain
Lease between the United States of America, Corp of Engineers in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , same being described as Lease
#DACW03-1-71-338 and supplemental agreements thereto, and no use
of the above described property is permitted hereunder which is
contrary to the provisions of said Lease Agreement and any supple-
mental agreements thereto.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
