A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO
THAT CERTAIN LEASE AND AGREEMENT DATED
MARCH 15 , 1971 BETWEEN THE ARKANSAS BAR
FOUNDATION, LESSOR, AND THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS AND THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL
PARKING AUTHORITY, LESSEE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk acting for and on
behalf of the City of Little Rock are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an amendment to lease and agreement to
that certain lease between the Arkansas Bar Foundation, Lessor,
and the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and the Little Rock Muni-
cipal Parking Authority, Lessee, dated March 15 , 1971 and
authorized by Resolution No. 4482 of the Board of Directors
adopted January 4 , 1971 , in order to conform and correct
certain property descriptions contained therein which amend-
ment shall be in form and substance as follows :
AMENDMENT TO LEASE AND AGREEMENT
This Amendment to Lease and Agreement made this ;2,2, 1ay
of , 1971 by and among the ARKANSAS BAR FOUNDATION,
a non-profit corporation organized and existing under the laws
of the State of Arkansas , the CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, a
city of the first class under the laws of the State of Arkansas
and LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY, an administrative
agency of the City created by Ordinance No. 11,267 of the City
pursuant to Act 468 of the Acts of Arkansas 1949.
W ITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties have determined that it is necessary
to amend the Lease and Agreement dated March 15, 1971 in order
to conform and correct certain property descriptions contained
therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants
and promises among the parties it is hereby agreed as follows :
1. The descriptions of Tract I and Tract II, as the same
appear in Paragraph 1 of the Lease and Agreement between the par-
ties dated March 15, 1971 are hereby amended to read as follows :
Tract I: All of Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 99, Original
City of Little Rock, except a piece of land in the
Northwest corner of Lot 6, which measures 35 .0 feet
East and West and 21.0 feet North and South; and
The East-WW'est alley located within Block 99, Original
City of Little Rock, as provided on the plat for the
Original City of Little Rock, recorded in the office
of the Recorder, Pulaski County, Arkansas , in Book "L"
at pages 330 and 331.
Tract II: A tract of land lying entirely within
Lot 6, Block 99, Original City of Little Rock,
more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block
99, Original City of Little Rock, said point being
at the intersection of the East R-O-W of Spring
Street and South R-O-W of Garland Street ; thence
East 35 .0 feet along the North Line of Lot 6 to a
point; thence South and parallel to the West line
of Lot 6 21.0 feet to a point; thence West and
parallel to the North line of Lot 6 35 .0 feet to
a point on the West line of Lot 6 and the East
R-O--W of Spring Street; thence North 21.0 feet
along the West line of Lot 6 to the point of begin-
ning and thereby enclosing by description a tract
of land containing 735 square feet, more or less .
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment
to Lease and Agreement on the date first above mentioned.
