RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS , SETTING THE DATE OF
HEARING ON THE PETITION TO VACATE A PART OF PRUIT
STREET, GREEN STREET AND TOWNSEND STREET IN BOOKER
HEIGHTS ADDITION , AND ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 4 AND 5 IN
BOOKER HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS , a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , on the 8th day of April, 1971,
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a part of a
street platted as Pruitt Street adjacent to Blocks 4 and 5 of
Booker Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkanaas , more
particularly described as follows :
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34 , Township 2 North, Range 13
West , being a street right of way 20 feet wide , named
Pruit Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas , and being more particularly
described as starting at a point 20 feet East and 585
feet South of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as a
point of beginning, thence North 585 feet to the North
line of Section 34, thence West 20 feet to the North-
west Corner of Section 34 , thence South 580 feet to a
point , thence Southeasterly for a distance of 20.5
feet to the point of beginning;
and a part of a street platted as Green Street in Booker Heights
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas , described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34 , Township 2 North, Range 13
West , being a street right of way 20 feet wide , named
Green Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas , and being more particularly
described as starting at the Northwest Corner of
Section 34 as the place of beginning, thence East
along the North boundary of Section 34 for a distance
of 310 feet to a point , thence South for a distance
of 20 feet to a point , thence West for a distance of
310 feet to a point , thence North 20 feet to the place
of beginning;
and a part of a street platted as Townsend Street in Booker Heights
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas , described as follows :
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West , being a street right of way 40 feet wide , named
Townsend Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas , and being more particularly
described as starting at a point 20 feet East and 320
feet South of the Northwest Corner of Section 34, as
the point of beginning, thence South 40 feet to a point ,
thence East 290 feet to a point , thence North 40 feet
to a point , thence West 290 feet to the point of
beginning;
and the unnamed alleys which bisect , in a North-South direction,
Blocks 4 and 5 of Booker Heights Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas ,
described as follows :
A Portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34 , Township 2 North, Range 13 West ,
being an alley 10 feet wide , and being more particularly
described as starting at a point 20 feet South and 160
feet East of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as the
point of beginning, thence South for a distance of 300
feet to a point , thence East for a distance of 10 feet
to a point , thence North for a distance of 300 feet to
a point , thence West for a distance of 10 feet to the
point of beginning; and also an area more particularly
described as starting at a point 360 feet South and 160
feet West , of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as the
place of beginning, thence South for a distance of 300
feet to a point , thence East for a distance of 10 feet to
a point , thence North for a distance of 300 feet to a
point , thence West for a distance of 10 feet to the
point of beginning.
as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record
in Flat Book 1, Page 90, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas , subject , however, to any public unility easements
located in said streets and alleys.
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The hearing on said petition shall be held at
the meeting of the Board of Directors in the City Hall at 7:30
o'clock P. M. , on the 7th day of June , 1971.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice
of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law by publication
once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published
in Pulaski County, Arkansas , and having general circulation in
the City of Little Rock.
