RESOLUTION NO. 4,558
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE FROM
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SITUATED IN BLOCKS
99 AND 100, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFORE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock acting through Little Rock
Municipal Parking Authority is planning and will construct an
underground vehicular parking facility within Block 99 and 100,
Original City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the City to purchase from the
Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas certain
hereinafter described real property owned by the said Housing
Authority and needed for the purpose of constructing the said
parking facility; and A
WHEREAS, the said lands can be purchased from the said
Housing Authority for a consideration of $45,500.00 which the
Board of Directors determines to be fair and reasonable.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed acting by and on behalf of the City of Little Rock to
execute such contract of purchase with the Housing Authority of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas as may be legally required to purchase
from said Authority for a consideration of $45,500.00 the following
described real property:
All the subsurface rights in a certain parcel, or parcels, of
land located in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State
of Arkansas, more particularly described as follows.
Subsurface Rights in Lot 12, Block 100 and Lots 7, 8, and 9,
Block 99, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, shall be
defined as including all the space under the surface of the
top deck of the underground parking deck to be constructed
within Lot 12, Block 100, and Lots 7, 8, and 9, Block 99,
Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Said surface of
said top deck shall be the height above mean sea level as
plans for such on file in the office of the City Clerk
provide.

SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of the purchase price herein above provided
for upon receipt by them of a title approving opinion by the
City Attorney assuring that the instrument of conveyance purposed
by the said Housing Authority will vest merchantable title in the
City of Little Rock in and to the said lands.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
