A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PIONEER AND
FRONTIER DISTRICTS OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF
AMERICA, THE ARKANSAS SOIL AND WATER CON-
SERVATION Cfl!IMISSION AND THE HEADQUARTERS
COMPANY OF THE 95TH COMMITTEE GROUP-ARMY
RESERVE CENTER FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS
AND EFFORTS EXPENDED IN CLEARING, CLEANING
AND REMOVING OBSTRUCTIONS IN BOTH ROCK AND
FOURCHE CREEKS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , over the week-end last past some 700 boy scouts
of the Pioneer and Frontier Districts , Boy Scouts of America, with
the aid and assistance of both the Arkansas Soil and Water Conser-
vation Commission and the Headquarters Company of the 95th Committee
Group-Army Reserve Center, giving unselfishly of their time, energy,
talents and financial resources , cleaned, cleared and removed
obstructions in Rock and Fourche Creeks within the City of Little
Rock and thus contributed immeasurably to the public peace , health,
safety and beauty of the creeks and the surrounding. terrain for
which all residents of this City are most grateful.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The boy scouts of the Pioneer and Frontier
Districts , Boy Scouts of America, the Arkansas Soil and Water Con-
servation Commission and the Headquarters Company of the 95th
Committee Group-Army Reserve Center, are hereby commended for a
worthwhile community project well done in the clearing, cleaning and
removing of obstructions of Rock and Fourche Creeks in this City.
All such participants can take pride in contributing not only to the
beauty of the City but to the health, safety and welfare of its
residents.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
