A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUANCE BY
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AGENCY OF PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS DATED OCTOBER 13, 1969
PERTAINING TO THE FUNDING OF NEW CAREERS
PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is desirous of
continuing, with modification, the agreement between the
City of Little Rock and the Economic Opportunity Agency
of Pulaski County, Arkansas dated October 13, 1969 whereby
a program of employment is funded by the Economic Opportunity
Agency of Pulaski County, Arkansas that will develop permanent
jobs with the City of Little Rock for those persons chosen by
the City as participants, such program being also sometimes
referred to .as "New Careers" .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to .
continue on behalf of the City of Little Rock the Agreement
between the City and the Economic Opportunity Agency of Pulaski
County, Arkansas dated October 13, 1969 to the end that the
program of employment to develop permanent jobs with the City of
Little Rock is implemented by the City and funded by the Economic
Opportunity Agency of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute such
instruments as may be required to carry out the authorization set
forth _in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
