A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ADVERTISE AND TAKE BIDS FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE COOK-ALWORTH SUBDIVISION
HERETOFORE PLATTED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK AND EMPLOY AN ENGINEER TO SUPERVISE
SAID CONSTRUCTION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , the developers of Cook-Alworth Subdivision in the City
of Little Rock have failed and/or refused to provide certain improve-
ments pertaining to drainage and the paving of easements as provided
for in the plat and Bill of Assurance for said subdivision; and
WHEREAS , cash deposits guaranteeing the cost of said improvements
have heretofore been made with the City of Little Rock should the
developers fail to provide said improvements within a given time limit
which has long since expired; and,
WHEREAS , the public peace, health and safety is being adversely
affected by the failure of the developer to provide said facilities
and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to cause these improve-
ments to be installed immediately and without delay and charge the
cost thereof against the cash bond referred to.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to proceed with advertising and taking bids for the construction and
installation of such of the public drainage and ingress and egress
easements as were provided for by the plat and Bill of Assurance for
Cook-Alworth Subdivision heretofore approved by the City of Little
Rock and filed of record and further, the City Manager is hereby
authorized to employ an engineer to provide all engineering services
as may be necessary in making these improvements.
SECTION 2. The total expense for the said improvements as may
be determined necessary in the opinion of the director of Community
Development based upon the said plat shall be charged against that
certain cash deposit heretofore made with the City of Little Rock
to insure the installation of said improvements.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
