A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF
A PARCEL OF PROPERTY OWNED BY MR. GEORGE
D. FAULKNER TO BE USED AS RIGHT-OF-WAY
FOR MISSISSIPPI STREET AND AUTHORIZING A
CASH PAYMENT IN LIEU OF CONSTRUCTING A
RETAINING WALL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to execute an option to purchase given by Mr . George D. Faulkner to the
following described property situated in Pulaski County , Arkansas , to be
used for the purpose of street right-of-way and pay therefor the sum of
Six Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6 ,950 . 00) to the person or
persons entitled thereto according to the opinion of the City Attorney
so as to vest full legal title to said lands in the City of Little Rock.
Said tract of land is identified as follows :
A part of Lot 14 and the West half of Lot 15, excepting
the South 5 feet thereof dedicated as Street, Block 4
of Riffel & Rhoton ' s Addition to the City of Little
Rock , Pulaski County, Arkansas , being more particularly
described as follows :
A part of Lot 14 , Block 4 , excepting the South 5 feet
thereof dedicated as Street , beginning at the Northwest
corner of said Lot 14 ; thence Easterly along the North
line of said Lot 14 , a distance of 13 . 28 feet to a point
on the New East- Right-of-way line of Mississippi Avenue ;
thence Southerly along said right-of-way line a distance
of 145 . 60 feet to a point on the South line of said
Lot 14 ; thence Westerly along said South line a distance
of 11. 38 feet to a point on the West line of said Lot 14;
thence Northerly along said West line of said Lot 14 a
distance of 145 . 43 feet to the point of beginning; con-
taining 1797. 94 square feet, more or less.
SECTION 2 . Payment is hereby authorized from the Construction
Fund of Two Thousand Four Hundred Sixty Dollars ($2 ,460 . 00) in lieu of
the city constructing a retaining wall ; said wall is to be constructed
by Mr. Faulkner.
SECTION 3 . Funds to pay the purchase price herein authorized
have been appropriated by Ordinance No. 12 ,169 of the City of Little
Rock.

SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
