4410 RESOLUTION NO. 4,410
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK, ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO EXECUTE WITH
THE SECRETARY OF THE ARMY A LEASE AGREE-
MENT TO CERTAIN PROPOSED PARK LANDS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute an agreement with the Secretary of the Army on behalf of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas , for the lease by the City of the following
described property, to-wit :
A tract of land situated in the county of Pulaski , State
of Arkansas , being part of the SZ of Fractional Section 24 ,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West, and part of the SZ of the
SW4 of Fractional Section 19 and part of the N2 of the
NA of Fractional Section 30 , Township 2 North, Range 12
West of the Fifth Principal Meridian , and being more
particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly
right-of-way line of the access road to Lock and Dam No. 7
and the north-south quarter line of Fractional Section 30;
thence northwesterly along said northerly right-of-way
approximately 8, 100 feet to a point on a line perpendicular
to the downstream end of the lock wall of Lock and Dam No. 7 ;
thence northeasterly along said line approximately 125 feet
to a point on the ordinary highwater line , right bank of
the Arkansas River; thence downstream along said highwater
line approximately 7 , 700 feet to a point on the north-south
line of Sections 19 and 30; thence south along said north-
south line approximately 1 , 900 feet to the point of beginning ,
less and except a parcel of land described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the south line of the NE4
of the NE4 of said NW4 of Section 30 , which is
100 . 02 feet west of the southeast corner thereof ;
thence North 88°51 ' West along said south line
320 . 77 feet to a point on the north right-of-way
line of the access road to Lock and Dam No . 7;
thence along the arc of a curve to the right, in
said right-of-way line, the radius of said curve
being 5 ,665 feet, and the long chord of said arc
bearing North 77°38 ' 23" West 81 . 18 feet to a point;
thence north, parallel to the east line of said NW4
285 . 24 feet to a point; thence east, parallel to the
north line of said Section 30 , a distance of 400
feet to a point; thence south, parallel to said east
line of the NW4 of Section 30 , a distance of 309 . 04
feet to the point of beginning .
The above mentioned tract of land contains 115 . 0 acres , more
or less .

SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
