4375 RESOLUTION NO. 4,375 A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO R. A. LANGE DIS- ABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER SECTION 2-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS , R. A. Lange was employed by the City of Little Rock be on February 16, 1928, and will/continuously employed until June 1, 1970 , at tire which time Mr. Lange will re/ due to a physical disability and is found to be entitled to disability retirement benefits comprising a term of 42 years , 3 months and 15 days ; and WHEREAS , under Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, it is the policy of the Board of Directors to continue to pay disabled employees at the rate of pay on the date of retirement, and in this case for a period of 42 months and 9 days , commencing June 1, 1970; subject, however, to deductions from said monthly pay equal to the aggregate of sums hereinafter received by R. A. Lange or to which he would be entitled provided he filed proper application under the non-uniformed employment plan with Mutual of New York, together with such funds as shall be received hereafter monthly by said R. A. Lange or that which he would receive had proper application been filed, if any, as disability benefits under the Social Security Administration Program of the United States of America. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed- to continue the salary established for R. A. Lange as of June 1, 1970, for a period of 42- months and 9 days . Provided, however, the monthly benefits herein authorized shall be reduced by the amount that the said R. A. Lange receives or would receive had application been made monthly as benefits for non-uniformed employees authorized under contract with Mutual of New York; and provided further that six months from the date of said retirement said benefits will be reduced additionally by the amount of benefits received or which would be received had applica- tion been made from the Social Security Administration of the Federal Government. -2- SECTION 2 . R. A. Lange shall be required to make available to the City Manager an accounting of all monies received from Mutual of New York under the city ' s non-uniformed benefits plan and from the Social Security Administration of the Federal Government.
