A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TWIN CITY TRANSIT,
INC. , TO INCREASE BUS FARES FROM STEP 29-A
TO STEP 36 , AS SAME APPEARS IN ORDINANCE
NO. 11, 692, AS AMENDED, WHICH IS THE BUS
FRANCHISE ORDINANCE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT
WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, evidence has been submitted that Twin City
Transit, Inc. , is operating at a deficit under Step 29-A of
Schedule of Fares appearing in Section 22 of Ordinance No. 11, 692,
as amended; and
WHEREAS, it appears that an increase to Step 36 would
permit an operation within the allowed operating ratio by Twin
City Transit, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, pending a final determination of the correct
rate of fares to produce the allowed operating ratio, it is the
desire of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock to
permit fares to be charged under Step 36 of Section 22 of
Ordinance No. 11, 692, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . Subject to all of the provisions and condi-
tions contained in Ordinance No. 11,692, as amended, Twin City
Transit, Inc. , is hereby authorized to charge fares at the rates
established in Step 36 of said Ordinance, as amended, it currently
appearing that such increase is necessary to permit a proper opera-
ting ratio to be realized by the said Twin City Transit, Inc.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
