A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PROCEED WITH THE WIDENING OF MISSISSIPPI
STREET SOUTH FROM MARKHAM TO RODNEY PARHAM
ROAD ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS EXISTING UNDER
THE MARKHAM STREET WIDENING CONTRACT:
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY ON
MISSISSIPPI STREET NORTH OF MARKHAM STREET
TO CANTRELL ROAD FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING
SAID MISSISSIPPI STREET; APPROVING THE
APPRAISAL OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY TO BE ACQUIRED;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed with the widening of Mississippi Street
from Markham Street South to Rodney Parham Road by executing
a change order under the contract with Reynolds and Williams
Construction Company for the same unit price heretofore in
effect for the Markham Street widening project.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed with the purchase of right-of-way necessary
for the Mississippi Street widening North from Markham to
Cantrell Road; and approval is hereby given to the appraisals
for said right-of-way heretofore made and on file in the office
of the Real Estate Officer.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
