RESOLUTION NO. 4,199
A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO PAULINE BEESON
DISABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER
SECTION 2-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, Pauline Beeson was employed by the City
of Little Rock on May 1, 1940 and left City employment on
May 1, 1943, was rehired on August 26, 1950 and has been
continuously employed to the present time when due to a
physical disability she is found to be entitled to disability
retirement benefits to become effective June 7, 1969
comprising a term of 21 years, 9 months and 12 days ; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2-24 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, it is the policy of
the Board of Directors to continue to pay disabled employees
at the rate of pay on the date of retirement and in this case
for a period of 21 months and 24 days commencing June 7 , 1969 ;
subject, however, to deductions from said monthly pay equal to
the aggregate of sums hereinafter received by Pauline Beeson
or to which she would be entitled provided she filed proper
application under the non-uniformed employment plan with
Mutual of New York, together with such funds as shall be
received hereafter monthly by said Pauline Beeson or that
which she would receive had proper application been filed, if
any, as disability benefits under the Social Security
Administration Program of the United States of America.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager and Director of
Finance are hereby authorized and directed to continue the
salary established for Pauline Beeson as of June 7 , 1969 and
to pay same monthly in the nature of disability retirement

benefits beginning June 7 , 1969 for a period of 21 months,
24 days . Provided, however, the monthly benefits herein
authorized shall be reduced by the amount that the said Pauline
Beeson receives or would receive had application been made
monthly as benefits for non-uniformed employees authorized
under contract with Mutual of New York; and provided further
that six months from the date of said retirement said benefits
will be reduced additionally by the amount of benefits received
or which would be received had application been made from the
Social Security Administration of the Federal Government.
SECTION 2. Pauline Beeson shall be required to
make available to the City Manager an accounting of all monies
received from Mutual of New York under the ci tyts non-uniformed
benefits plan and from the Social Security Administration of
the Federal Government.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
