RESOLUTION NO. 4,185
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
DIRECT HIS EFFORTS IN FACILITATING THE
ANNEXATION OF THE COLLEGE STATION COMMUNITY
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . OPPOSING
THE PROPOSED INCORPORATION OF THE COLLEGE
STATION COMMUNITY. AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the College Station Community is strategically
located in relation to the over all orderly development of the
City of Little Rock, being near the proposed port facilities and
other related facilities, and
WHEREAS, the problems existing in the College Station
Community can best be solved if the City of Little Rock acting
with the College Station deals with these problems , and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is in a position to
provide the basic city services for less cost than could be
provided by the citizens of College Station themselves, and
WHEREAS , it is then desired by the Board that the College
Station Community become a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to pursue as rapidly as possible the proposed annexation
of the College Station Community to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
SECTION 2 . This Board takes the position that the
incorporation of the College Station Community would not be in
the best interest of the citizens of the City of Little Rock or
the citizens of College Station and therefore opposes any
incorporation by College Station Community,

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
