RESOLUTION NO. 4,162
A RESOLUTION SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED
ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS AT A SPECIAL ELECTION THE QUESTION
OF AUTHORIZING, AS PROVIDED IN ACT 132,
ACTS OF ARKANSAS, 1969, THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES FOR ON-PREMISES CONSUMPTION,
RECOMMENDING APRIL 15, 1969 AS THE DATE FOR
SAID ELECTION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
for 1969 has by Act No. 132 authorized cities of the first and
second class to have a "referendum election" at which the qualified
electors of a city of the first or second class may vote on the
question of authorizing within such city the sale of alcoholic
beverages for on-premises consumption; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock desires by this Resolution to call an election for said purpose
and in keeping with provisions of said Act 132, Acts of Arkansas , 1969.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1: There shall be submitted to the qualified
electors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas at a special election
hereby called and to be held in said city the question of authorizing
the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption in the
city as provided for and pursuant to the authority of Act 132,
Acts of Arkansas , 1969 . The date of April 15 , 1969 is recommended
to the Pulaski County Board of Election Commissioners as the time
for said election to be held.
SECTION 2: The election provided for in Section 1
hereof shall be held and conducted and the results certified by
and under the supervision of the Pulaski County Board of Election
Commissioners in the manner provided by the election laws of this
state.
SECTION 3 : The ballot for the election provided for
by this Resolution shall be printed in the following form:

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption on this 7th day of March, 1969.
This Resolution is adopted by the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock sitting in a reconvened session of the regular
March 3 , 1969 meeting recessed.
