3832 RESOLUTION NO. 3,832 A RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAL OF LLOYD WILBURN WORTHY. WHEREAS, on Saturday, September 2, 1967, Lloyd Wilburn Worthy was tragically and fatally injured by an assailant while in the performance of his duties as a patrol- man for the Police Department of the City of Little Rock; and WHEREAS, Lloyd Wilburn Worthy, during his service as a member of the Little Rock Police Force since June 18, 1965, was highly respected, well liked and developed exceptional competence in his chosen work; and WHEREAS , Lloyd Wilburn Worthy left behind, his mother and other relatives, close friends and associates who are grieved at his passing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock for and on behalf of all citizens of this community hereby express to the mother and other members of the family of Lloyd Wilburn Worthy, deep and sincere sympathy and regret in their loss and mourns the loss of this City of one of it' s capable and dedicated public servants. This Board of Directors further states that the dedication of purpose displayed by Lloyd Wilburn • Worthy, though over-shadowed by the unfortunate fact of his un- timely death, should be a source of pride to his family and loved ones and an inspiration to his many close friends and associates. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be delivered to Mrs. Elnora Worthy, mother of Lloyd Wilburn Worthy. -2- SECTION 3.
