RESOLUTION NO. 3,749
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPRAISAL OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY SITUATED IN THE EAST HALF
OF THE WEST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER,
SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 1, NORTH, RANGE 12,
WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED
FOR STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is determined that additional right-of-way
is vitally needed to provide for the safe movement of vehicular
traffic in and near the intersection of University Avenue and
Asher Avenue, and that the City should proceed with attempts to
acquire said right-of-way for the approved appraisal price as
hereinafter provided and set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The sum of Three Thousand and NO/100
Dollars ($3,000.00) is hereby approved and accepted as the
appraised value of the property described in Section 2. hereof
and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
negotiate with the owner or owners of said land for the purchase
of said lands by the City at the appraised figure.
SECTION 2. The real property needed for right-of-way
purposes on Asher Avenue near the intersection of University
Avenue in the City is hereby described as follows:
A part of the East Half of the West Half
of the Southwest Quarter, Section 18, T-1-N,
R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows: Beginning
at an iron pin which is at the point where
the West line of the East Half, West Half,
Southwest Quarter, Section 18, T-1-N, R-12-W,
crosses the present South right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway 67-70, thence run South along
said West line 242 feet to an iron pin; thence
run N 78° 36, E, 298.9 feet to an iron pin;
thence run N 1° 02, W, 65.0 feet to an iron
pin; Thence continuing along said line N 1°
02' W, 188.1 feet to an iron pin and the
point of beginning; thence continuing along
said line N 10 02, W, 20.8 feet to the present
South right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 67-70
and an iron pin; thence run S 720 34' W, along
said South right-of-way line 184.9 feet to an
iron pin; thence S 0° 11, E, 17.3 feet to an
iron pin; thence N 720 06' E, 167.4 feet to an
iron pin; thence N 88° 31' E, 17.4 feet to an
iron pin and the point of beginning; containing
0.07 acres, more or less.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
