A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A
SALE TO ARTHUR J. REED OF CERTAIN ITEMS
OF PERSONAL PROPERTY O4NED BY THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE SUM OF $10,000 .00;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The following items of heavy equipment
and machinery which were condemned by the City of Little
Rock to provide right-of-way for the East-West Expressway
are hereby sold to Arthur `vw. Reed for the sum of Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10,000.00) cash:

As a part of the consideration for this sale the
said Arthur W. Reed is to remove said equipment and mach-
inery as well as all other items of personal property
situated on the premises at his expense within ten (10)
days from the date of the adoption of this Resolution .

SECTION 2. The Board of Directors does hereby
determine that an exceptional situation exists in so far as
the sale of these items of personal property is concerned
and therefore waives the requirement of competitive bidding.
The said equipment and machinery are specially designed and
equipped to perform a function peculiar to the special
production line type operation carried on by the said Arthur
1. Reed which heretofore was operated on the premises con-
demned by the City and which was subsequently relocated one
block to the southwest of the premises condemned.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
