3620 RESOLUTION NO. 3,620 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE BUREAU OF INTERIOR OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A FEDERAL GRANT-IN-AID TO DEVELOP RESERVOIR PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock recognizes the absence of adequate park lands in the extreme northwest area of this City; and, WHEREAS, certain lands have been acquired for develop- ment as a public park known and identified as Reservoir Park; and, WHEREAS, Reservoir Park is capable of being developed into a suitable and substantial park serving the existing and anticipated residential developments in northwest Little Rock; and, WHEREAS, sums are available from the Bureau of Interior of the United States of America for the development of open-space lands of the type and nature needed and desired by this City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit an application to the Department of Interior of the United States of America for available grants-in-aid for the purpose of developing Reservoir Park to its greatest potential as a recreational area within the City of Little Rock.
