A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
CERTAIN LANDS FOR USE AS GUM SPRINGS PARK FOR A
CONSIDERATION OF $30,000.00; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to consummate the purchase by the City of Little
Rock of certain lands for use as Gum Springs Park in the City
of Little Rock from the apparent owner or owners thereof,
which lands are described as more fully set forth in Ordinance
11,722 approved on the 21st day of March, 1966, as amended by
Ordinance No. 11,732 approved April 18, 1966, consisting of
20 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. Upon receipt of a Warranty Deed from the
owners of record vesting in the City of Little Rock full legal
title to the said property according to the opinion of the
City Attorney, the City Manager and Director of Finance are
authorized and directed to pay to the persons entitled thereto
the sum of $30,000.00 in consideration of the sale and to
issue the necessary warrant or warrants for such purposes.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
