A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO NEGOTIATE FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC
SIGNALIZATION CABLE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was advertised for traffic
signalization cable but no responsible or responsive bids were
received at the bid opening on April 29 , 1966, at 2:00 P.M. ; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of acceptable cable by competi-
tive bidding has been frustrated due to the absence of bids, but
said cable is urgently needed and can purchase same from Clifford
of Vermont,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized and directed
to purchase, from Clifford of Vermont, the following described
cable:

16,000 ft. 3 Conductor 14 Ga. $3,648.00 *
Traffic Signal Cable
5 ,200 ft. 12 Conductor 14 Ga. $2,376.40 *
Traffic Signal Cable
does not include tax.
SECTION 2. Upon receipt of the above items complying
with the needs of the City of Little Rock, the City Manager and
Director of Finance are authorized and directed to issue the
necessary warrant or warrants in payment therefor.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
