A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO ROBERT J. HARRISON
DISABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER SEC-
TION 2-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Robert J. Harrison was employed by the City of
Little Rock on April 14, 1941, and has been continuously so
employed until April 30, 1966, when found to be entitled to
disability retirement, comprising a total term of employment
of twenty-five years and sixteen days; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Little Rock, it is the policy of the Board of Di-
rectors to continue to pay Robert J. Harrison at the rate of
pay on the date of retirement for a period of twenty-five
months, which pay shall end on May 31, 1968, subject, however,
to deductions from the said monthly pay equal to sums here-
after received by Robert J. Harrison as benefits under the
Non-Uniform Employment Retirement Plan, together with such
funds as shall be hereafter received monthly, if any, by said
Robert J. Harrison from disability benefits under the Social
Security Administration of the United States of America;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to continue the salary estab-
lished for Robert J. Harrison as of April 30, 1966, and to
pay same to Robert J. Harrison monthly in the nature of dis-
ability retirement benefits through and including May 26, 1968.

At such time as Robert J. Harrison shall become eligible to
receive and shall in fact receive benefits under the Non-
Uniform Employees Retirement Plan of the City of Little Rock,
and, upon receiving disability retirement benefits under the
Social Security Administration agency of the United States
of America, the Director of Finance shall deduct from monthly
payment authorized hereunder all sums received during said
month by Robert J. Harrison from the foregoing sources so that
the sum received monthly by Robert J. Harrison from all sources
of disability income shall equal the salary of Robert J. Har-
rison on the date of retirement.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
