A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO SOUTHWESTERN BELL
TELEPHONE COMPANY A RIGHT, PRIVILEGE AND
FRANCHISE TO USE AN AREA BENEATH CERTAIN
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO LOT 6
BLOCK 72 ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS UPON SUCH OCCUPANCY
AND USE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
is hereby extended and given the right, privilege and
franchise of occupying and using a certain area beneath
public right of way adjacent to Lot 6 Block 72 Original
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and to excavate and con-
struct improvements within said area in connection with
the construction of its physical plant on the aforesaid
property. The right, privilege and franchise herein
granted shall extend to and affect the following described
right-of-way:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of
Lot 6, Block 72 Original City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, thence 12 feet South to
a point; thence 50 feet West to a point;
thence 72 feet North to a point; thence
50 feet East along the South lot line of
Lot 6 to the point of beginning; and be-
ginning at the Southwest corner of lot 6
Block 72 Original City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, thence West 12 feet to a point;
thence North 126 feet to a point; thence
East 12 feet to a point; thence South 126
feet along the 4est line of Block 72 to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The right, privilege and franchise
herein granted to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
is and shall remain subject to the condition that any

improvements, excavation or work performed within the area
described in Section 1 shall be done without injury or
damage to any utilities located within said right-of-way
and without adversely affecting existing sidewalks, curbs
or other improvements and subject to a paramount right of any
utility companies to locate or maintain utility lines or
facilities therein. This right, privilege and franchise shall
further be conditioned that the Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company, its successors and assigns shall upon demand by the
City of Little Rock restore the area described in Section 1
to its condition prior to the grant of this right, privilege
and franchise at such time as the City of Little Rock shall
determine that said area is needed for other public purposes.
Said restoration shall be accomplished by the Southwestern
Bell Telephone Company its successors and assigns at its or
their expense and at no cost whatsoever to the City of Little
Rock.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
