A RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF THE
SERVICES OF DOWELL NAYLOR AS EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Dowell Naylor became the Executive
:Director of the Housing Authority of Little Rock, Arkansas,
in January, 1960 and has continued and will continue in
such position until April 1, 1966; and,
WHEREAS, since his becoming Executive Director,
the Housing Authority has completed three (3) urban renewal
projects and has undertaken four (4) new projects including
the Central Little Rock, High Street, University park and
Coliseum 1-`rojects, all currently in progress; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has gained repute
as a progressive and developing city and as a model city
in urban redevelopment all in great measure through the
leadership of Dowell Naylor; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to recognize
Dowell Naylor and to extend to him its appreciation for
the outstanding execution of the duties and responsibilities
of his office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRr.CTOZS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Lowell Naylor is hereby given and
extended the highest apprecia tion anu commendation for
his outstanding service as Executive Director of The
Housing Authority of Little Rock and it is with regret that

that this Board of Directors acknowledges his resignation
from public service in this City.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is directed to pre-
pare a certificate of appreciation bearing the signature
of each member of this Board of Directors as tangible
evidence of this resolution.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
