3499 RESOLUTION NO. 3,499 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF CERTAIN LANDS OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AUTHORIZING THE EZECUTION OF A DEED BY MAYOR AND CITY CLERK CONVEYING SAID LANDS TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PUR- POSES. WHEREAS, by resolution dated October 7, 1965, the Little Rock Library Board of Trustees did authorize the sale to the Housing Authority of the CitycE Little Rock, Arkansas of certain lands adjacent to the existing Library Building for valuable consideration; and, WHEREAS, it is understood that the property, when conveyed to the Little Rock Housing Authority, will be improved by landscaping and related improvements to develop said land as an open green space; and, ' WHEREAS, said property will be dedicated, following improvement, to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas as a public park and open plaza. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Little Rock are hereby authorized and directed to exe- cute for and in behalf of the City of Little Rock a certain deed as more fully described in Section 2 hereof conveying unto the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock all of its right, title, and interest unto said grantee for the purpose of developing said lands into a landscaped park and open plaza. Section 2. The deed referred to in Section 1 here- of shall be in form and substance as follows: W/ARRAMTT DE$D KNOW ALL MEW BY TENSE PRESENTS: That, the City of Little Rock, hereinafter called Grantor, for and in consideration of One Hundred and no/100 Dollars ( 100.00) and other good and sufficient considerations, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, hereinafter called Grantee, all of its right, title and interest in and to the following property, to wit: A tract of land located in the fractional part of Lots #11 and *12, Block *87 of the Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner Block 87 of the Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; run in a southerly direction along the west right-of -way line of Louisiana Street 78.20 feet to a point on the north edge of a certain sidewalk; thence run in a westerly direction along said sidewalk 110.44 feet to a point on the east edge of a certain concrete curb; thence in a northerly direction along said curb 78.00 feet to a point on the south right-of-way line of West Seventh Street; thence run in an easterly direction along said right-of-way line 110.76 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 8,637.86 sq. ft. To have and to hold unto the Grantee and unto its successors and assigns forever together with all appurtenances thereto. In witness Whereof the Grantor does cause to be affixed hereto the hands of its Mayor and City Clerk and its corporate seal on this day of February, 1966.
