3498 RESOLUTION NO. 3,498_ A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF BEVIS DODGE, INC. , FOR FOUR (4) TWO-DOOR POLICE SPECIAL AUTOMOBILES, IN THE SUM OF SEVEN THOUSAND SEVENTY-FOUR AND 44/100 DOLLARS ($7 ,074.44) ; RELEASING REBSAMEN MOTORS, INC. , FROM ITS BID ON SAID AUTOMOBILES AND RESCINDING THE PURCHASE ORDER ISSUED THEREFOR; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3487; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 3487 the Board of Directors on the 17th day of January, 1966, accepted the bid of Rebsamen Motors on four (4) two-door police special cars in the sum of Seven Thousand Two and 88/100 Dollars ($7,002.80) ; and, WHEREAS, Rebsamen Motors has requested that it be permitted to withdraw its bid on the basis that a substantial error of fact was made in the computation of its bid price; and, WHEREAS, the next low bid for said vehicles was the bid of Bevis Dodge, Inc. , in the sum of Seven Thousand Seventy- Four and 44/100 Dollars ($7,074.44) ; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to release Rebsamen Motors from its bid and to accept the next low bid of Bevis Dodge, Inc. , in the aforesaid sum; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: I SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock herewith and hereby cancels its purchase order issued to Rebsamen Motors for four (4) two-door police special cars under its bid of December 30, 1965 , which was accepted by the Board of Directors on January 17 , 1966, under and pursuant to Resolution No. 3487 , 4 and does permit and authorize Rebsamen Motors to withdraw its bid from consideration. - 2 - SECTION 2. The bid of Bevis Dodge, Inc. , for four (4) two-door police special cars in the sum of Seven Thousand Seventy-Four and 44/100 Dollars ($7 ,074.44) in accordance with the bidding specifications and bid proposal submitted on December 30, 1965 , is hereby accepted. SECTION 3 . Upon receipt from Bevis Dodge, Inc . , of the equipment described in section 2 above, complying with the bidding specifications, the City Manager and Director of Finance are authorized and directed to issue the necessary Warrant or Warrants in payment therefor. SECTION 4. That portion of Resolution No. 3487 accepting the bid of Rebsamen Motors for four (4) two-door police special cars in the sum of Seven Thousand Two and 88/100 Dollars ($7 ,002.88) is hereby repealed, and this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
