A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF INTERNATIONAL
HARVESTER AND MOORE FORD COMPANY FOR TRUCK
CHASSIS AND BEDS, RESPECTIVELY; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto in accordance with law, for four (4)
trucks and chassis and four (4) truck beds, and alternately for
the trucks and beds complete for use by the Sanitation Depart-
ment of the City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid
for four (4) trucks and chassis was the bid of International
Harvester Company in the sum of Twenty-Four Thousand Six Hun-
dred Thirty-Six and 12/100 Dollars ($24,636.12) , and the lowest
responsible and responsive bid for four (4) truck beds was the
bid of Moore Ford Company in the sum of Nineteen Thousand Five
Hundred Eight and 20/100 Dollars ($19 ,508 .20) ; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to accept the foregoing bids and to authorize payment for the
equipment so described;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The bid of International Harvester Company
for four (4) trucks and chassis, according to the bidding speci-
fications and bid proposal in the sum of Twenty-Four Thousand
Six Hundred Thirty-six and 12/100 Dollars ($24,636 .12) is hereby
accepted. The bid of Moore Ford Company for four (4) Pack-Mor
truck beds, according to the bidding specifications and bid
proposal in the sum of Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Eight and
20/100 Dollars ($19 ,508.20) is hereby accepted.

SECTION 2. Upon receipt by the City of Little Rock
of the trucks and chassis with beds installed all in accordance
with the bidding specifications, the City Manager and Director
of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
necessary Warrant or Warrants in payment thereof.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
