A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STANDARD FURNITURE
COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS
WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
CONDITIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Standard Furniture Company has heretofore
occupied a certain building located in Block 176 of the
Original City of Little Rock, a portion of which building has,
since 1906, occupied what is platted as an alley transversing
Block 176; and,
WHEREAS, the building so situated was partially
destroyed to fire and is proposed to be rebuilt in its original
location; and,
WHEREAS, the aforesaid alley has never been opened or
otherwise needed for public purpose.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF TIE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. A right, privilege and franchise is hereby
granted to Standard Furniture Company to construct in and upon
certain public right of way certain improvements in the nature
of rebuilding a structure destroyed by fire. The right, privilege
and franchise granted herein is conditioned so that in the event
the said right of way shall be needed for public purposes, the
franchisee, its successors or assigns shall restore the right
of way to its condition prior to the grant hereof solely and
entirely at its own expense.
SECTION 2. The property on and over which the
aforesaid improvements are authorised for construction is
described as the East 1 of the North 165 feet of the alley in
Block 176 Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
