A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF LIGON
PLUMBING AND HEATING COMPANY FOR PLUMB-
ING AND GAS PIPE IN THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO
CONCESSION BUILDING; AUTHORIZING EXECU-
TION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE WORK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised according
to law and bids received pursuant thereto for certain plumb-
ing and gas piping in and for the Little Rock Zoo Concession
Stand; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid re-
ceived was the bid of Ligon Plumbing and Heating Company in
the sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Seven and No/100
Dollars ($1 ,887.00) ; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock to accept the bid of Ligon Plumbing
and Heating Company and to authorize the execution of a con-
tract for the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1 . The bid of Ligon Plumbing and Heating Company
in the sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Seven and No/100
Dollars ( 1 ,887.00) for certain plumbing and gas piping in-
stalled in the Little Rock Zoo Concession Stand, in full and
complete accordance with the plans and specifications on file
in the Department of Parks and Recreation and with the City
Clerk, all of which were made a part of the bidding instruments,
is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and in behalf of the City of Little
Rock, a contract for the work which contract shall be in form
and substance as follows:

C O N T R A C T
WITNESS THIS AGREEMENT between Ligon Plumbing
and Heating Company, hereinafter called CONTRACTOR and
The City of Little Rock, hereinafter called OWNER:
SCOPE OF WORK:
Contractor, under and pursuant to the plans
and specifications entitled Little Rock Zoo Concession
Stand, on file in the Office of the Parks and Recreation
Department and in accordance with the bidding instru-
ments attached hereto and made a part hereof, will in-
stall gas piping and plumbing in the Little Rock Zoo
Concession Building and will provide all the materials,
labor, equipment, and supervision necessary in the per-
formance of the work. Work shall commence within ten
(10) days from issuance of a work order and shall be
completed to the entire satisfaction of the City Mana-
ger within days from the issuance of said work
order. Liquidated damages for delay in completion of
the work, if any, shall be assessed and deducted from
the contract price according to the provisions of the
specifications and of the bidding documents.
CONTRACT PRICE:
Contractor agrees to accept and Owner agrees to
pay, upon completion of the work in accordance with the
plans and specifications, the sum of One Thousand Eight
Hundred Eighty-Seven and No/100 Dollars ($1 ,887.00) .
There will be no interim payments and final payment shall
be made by Owner within ten (10) days from the date of
final acceptance of the work by the City Manager .

INSURANCE AGREEMENTS:
Contractor will maintain in force during the
performance of the work, Public Liability Insurance in
limits as described in the specifications, but in no
event less than $1000,000 --- $200,000 --- $5,000 limits,
and shall maintain in force Workmen ' s Compensation Insur-
ance fixed by statute. Contractor will otherwise save
and hold harmless the Owner from any and all liability
to any persons whatsoever arising from the prosecution
of the work or from the negligence of Contractors, its
agents, servants or employees.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto do cause
to be affixed the hands of their respective, authorized
officers on this day of November, 1965.

SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
