A RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAL
OF RAYMOND R. LINDSEY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the late Raymond R. Lindsey, long recognized
as a responsible and exemplory citizen in Little Rock, departed
this life on September 15th , 1965; and,
WHEREAS, Raymond R. Lindsey was appointed to and served
as chairman of the Little Rock Port Authority since its incep-
tion and was a vital and moving force in the outstanding pro-
gress of the Port Authority; and,
WHEREAS, this Board of Directors deeply regrets the
loss of a model citizen and a dedicated public leader and de-
sires that due recognition be given;
WOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The late Raymond R. Lindsey is hereby recog-
nized as a model citizen and as a forceful public servant as re-
flected in his leadership while chairman of the Little Rock Port
Authority. The deliberate and swift progress of Little Rock
toward realization of port facilities to the enlargement and
stimulus of local commerce shall forever be recognized and iden-
tified as a tribute to the services and efforts of Raymond R.
Lindsey.
SECTION 2. There is hereby authorized the presentation to
the family of Raymond R. Lindsey of a certificate of this Board of
Directors in appreciation of service to the people of this commu-
nity.

SECTION 3. This Board of Directors joins the family
of the late Raymond R. Lindsey in being deeply grieved at his
passing.
SECTION +. This resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
