A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE AND FILE AN APPLICATION
WITH THE STATE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR GRANTS
IN AID BY THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR -
BUREAU OF OUTDOOR RECREATION, FOR THE DEVELOP-
MENT AND ACQUISITION COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH
PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare and file with the State Planning Commission
an application in proper form for grants in aid in connection
with the acquisition, development or improvement or any combina-
tion thereof of Hindman Park, the City of Little Rock Zoo,
Butler Park and War Memorial Golf Course, and for such other
and further park and recreational facilities as may be qualified
for grants in aid under the program now in effect for such
purposes as managed and controlled by the Department of the
Interior - Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, a Federal agency.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
