A RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF THE
SERVICE OF CAL R. LEDBETTER ON THE CIVIL
SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Cal R. Ledbetter has served as a member of the
Civil Service Commission of this City since April 1, 1949,
and has devoted his time and energy unselfishly toward the
end that the Civil Service Commission serve its purposes
fully; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission is of considerable
importance as an agency of this City and the services of "al
R. Ledbetter during his tenure on this Commission were of
great significance and had a heavy impact upon the affairs of
this City and its employees; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock is honored, in view of the length of tenure and the quality
of the contribution to this City of Cal R. Ledbetter, a former
member of its Civil Service Commission, to formally acknowledge
same and to tender its deep gratitude for outstanding and
notable public service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The long period of continuous and beneficial
service by Cal R. Ledbetter as a member of the Civil Service
Commission of the City of Little Rock is hereby acknowledged.
This Board of Directors expresses its deep gratitude to Cal A.
Ledbetter for his unselfish and inspiring contribution in the
public service of this City.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
